Crooked Lane Cats is the third evolution of David and my breeding cattery. We started in 2002 with Munchkins and added LaPerms to the mix so became Shortz’N’Curlz. We had a brief hiatus and stopped LaPerms then added Australian Tiffanies and Burmillas  and became ChrisCrashCatz Chris for me and Crash for David’s ANCATS nickname Dr Crash - a long story ask him to tell you it one day.

2009 found us planning the next stage of our lives and so the “tree change” happened. We found this beautiful 1870 so called Italianate farmhouse (pictured above) in need of some refurbishment and 13 plus acres looking for a new owner. Now some at our tender age downsize and plan to take things easier.  Not us we go the other way and to use David’s optimistic terminology a fifteen year plan to keep us going and stimulated.

We breed the engaging Munchkins the short leg cat that is small in stature and ginormous in personality. The delightful Siberians , one of the few cats that people with allergies may be able to live with.

In December 2010 with grateful thanks to Aleksandra Turjak of Von Imp Cattery New Zealand for entrusting us with what we believe is the first Turkish Angora in Australia. Von Imp Ceyda  In 2011 we hope to get a boy from Aleksandra and will start breeding the beautiful Turkish Angora

Our priority is health and temperament and all our kittens are born and socialised underfoot in our home.

We only sell our kittens to people who are going to keep them indoors or in a secure environment outside for example an enclosed sunroom, purpose built outdoor area or cat secure back yard.

There are purpose built outdoor areas and play parks for cats available from various suppliers both nationally and locally.

All our kittens come desexed, immunised, vet checked and microchipped.

Entire kittens or cats will only be sold to registered breeders and at our discretion.

David and Christine are very experienced breeders. David is an International All Breeds Cat Judge and Christine is an All Breeds Cat Judge
